Our History
ARH was established in
1962 and incorporated in 1965 as Halfway House of Santa Clara Valley,
Inc. In 1975 the name was changed to Alcoholic Recovery Homes of Santa
Clara Valley, Inc., and in 1992 to ARH Recovery Homes, Inc.
ARH is committed to
providing our clients with individualized, high quality drug and
alcohol treatment services.
ARH Today
Substance abuse costs the
U.S. more than $484 billion per year. In California
alone the estimated cost of alcohol and drug abuse on society is $35
billion annually. Santa Clara County Department of Corrections
expenditures were $131 million in 2004 for drug and
alcohol related arrests, and the Department of Alcohol & Drug
Services spent over $24 million for substance abuse
treatment in FY’04.
ARH Recovery
Homes, Inc. served over 3,000 clients in the past year.
These staggering
statistics are why ARH is committed to providing our clients with a
positive environment to help increase their chances for a successful
recovery. By providing step-down modalities we are able to assist our
clients in returning to their communities and families. They become
productive members of society with a renewed sense of self-esteem.
